System Input/Output Modules (IO)

J1772 Vehicle Power Interface Module (VPIM)=

The J1772 Vehicle Power Interface Module (VPIM) provides the necessary circuitry to interface with Electric or plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicle charging equipment in accordance with the SAE J1772 specifications. It allows the vehicle systems and ECUs that require a low current "sleep" mode to be managed externally and monitors the inputs, providing an output that will drive an external "Wake Up" relay which, in turn, provides power to the connected systems.

Features include:

  • Operating Voltage: 8-30 VDC
  • J1772 Hardware Interface
  • Low Current Consumption < 10mA
  • Operating Temperatures ranging from -40°C to 105°C

Multiplexed Power Distribution Module

The New Eagle™ Multiplexed Power Distribution Module offers economical CAN Network oversight for high power circuits in vehicle power distribution. Manufactured as a hardened and weather tight module, it may be configured to provide various OEM circuit protection and switching functions, using industry standard fuses, relays and breakers, with the status and control of each circuit accessible through J1939/CAN open messages.

New Eagle H-bridge Driver

The New Eagle H-Bridge driver is an external driver circuit designed to allow additional high current H-Bridge outputs to be added to a control module. The H-Bridge driver incorporates internal protection for over current, over temperature and reverse battery protection. Current sense and diagnostic outputs allow the controller to monitor operation and detect if the driver has gone into a protection shutdown state. The H-Bridge driver requires 2-4 outputs and 0-2 inputs to properly operate from the control module. Built in pullup resistors in the driver allow the H-Bridge driver to be operated from either logic type EST outputs or low side drivers.

Digital to Analog Converter

This New Eagle module receives a PWM signal from a MotoHawk PWM output, and can convert into a pure analog, 0-5 volt output. Single or multiple channels are available. The module is designed to give you the ability to simulate a digital, single potentiometer, or dual potentiometer. There is an internal override/safety pulse input that you can enable/disable in order to pass through the original signal or the simulated signal. The potentiometer signals are generated using an external low-side drive between 4-10Khz. The incoming signal should be be low side driven because there is an internal 5V pull-up resistor. For more information refer to the datasheet PWM to Analog datasheet.
